Bible Prayer for “I’m a fool, sinner, and dumb… Pray that god slows down my heart and opens my eyes”.

If you’re prayer is, “I’m a fool, sinner, and dumb… Pray that god slows down my heart and opens my eyes”. Here are a few Bible prayers for you:

In a prayer in Psalms, we are told “The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like the grass and all evil doers flourish, they will be forever destroyed.” You are only a fool if you keep doing wicked, evil, and sinful things; but even when we do fall, we can still pray to God as King David once prayed. “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, O Lord, I beg You, take away the guilt of Your servant. I have done a very foolish thing.” Or, as in Jesus’ story of the priest and the sinner, you can pray, “God be merciful to me a sinner.”

Or, as Elisha prayed in 2 Kings 6:17, “O Lord, open his[her] eyes so he[she] may see.” See that the beginning of wisdom is the fear, or trust and reverence, of God, as the Bible tells us. You do not likely fit the definition of a fool as in Proverbs 10:23; but I do know that we all do some very foolish things, and that we are all sinners and, and that we all need to reach out to God.

These prayers were derived from the book, “The Lord’s Prayers”, which of course came from God’s Holy Book, the Bible.
